Hyatt and Peloton have just announced a new partnership, which is part of Hyatt’s focus on wellbeing. Not only will we see Peloton equipment coming to hundreds of Hyatt properties, but there will also be a loyalty program integration…
Peloton equipment coming to 800+ Hyatts
Thanks to a new collaboration, Hyatt will be introducing Peloton equipment at 800+ Hyatt properties, plus access to Peloton classes on in-room TVs at nearly 400 properties.
Peloton Bikes will be deployed at each Hyatt hotel in markets where Peloton already operates, including the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, and Australia. Furthermore, select Hyatt luxury and lifestyle properties in the United States will also offer the Peloton Row. In the future, we may see Peloton equipment expanded to Hyatt properties in other markets, but that hasn’t been finalized yet.
As far as the in-room Peloton classes go, they’ll be non-equipment based, and will offer everything ranging from stretching routines, to bodyweight workouts.
Now, in fairness, Hyatt isn’t the first major hotel brand to partner with Peloton. In 2022, Hilton and Peloton launched a partnership, whereby Peloton Bikes were installed at all Hilton properties in the United States.
While I’m not personally a huge fan of cycling, I do appreciate when hotels some consistency when it comes to gym equipment, since it’s otherwise so variable. So I’m sure those who do like Peloton will appreciate the opportunity to consistently have this as part of their hotel workout routine, while on the road.
World of Hyatt & Peloton plan collaboration
The partnership between Hyatt and Peloton also extends to the World of Hyatt program, though details remain limited as of now. World of Hyatt members are told to stay tuned for how they can earn points for qualifying Peloton Bike or Peloton Row workouts completed at participating Hyatt hotels.
There are no details as to what exactly this will look like, but I’m intrigued. Will Hyatt offer bonus points for each Peloton Bike or Peloton Row workout completed during a Hyatt stay? That would be kind of cool, if so, and seems like a win-win. Not only would it encourage people to try Peloton who might not otherwise do so, but it fits very nicely into Hyatt’s wellness focus.
In addition to the opportunity to earn points, World of Hyatt members will also be able to receive an extended 60-day free app trial (for new Peloton members only), special offers on Peloton equipment, and access to private World of Hyatt member events.
Bottom line
Hyatt and Peloton are launching a partnership, whereby we’ll see Peloton Bikes installed at 800+ Hyatt properties, along with in-room Peloton classes at nearly 400 Hyatt properties. On top of that, this partnership should be expanded in the near future to include the World of Hyatt program, as members will reportedly be able to earn bonus points for Peloton rides at Hyatt properties.
While Hyatt isn’t first to partner with Peloton (Hilton has been doing it since 2022), the loyalty collaboration is unique.
What do you make of the new Hyatt & Peloton collaboration?
